1、 Current situation of China's plastic machinery manufacturing industry
At present, there are about 600 enterprises and units engaged in manufacturing plastic machinery and related products in China, of which about 250 can provide plastic molding equipment.
China's plastic machinery industry has a considerable scale. At present, the production capacity of China's main plastic machinery has exceeded 100000 sets, including more than 8000 sets of extrusion equipment, more than 30000 sets of injection molding machines, and more than 3000 sets of hollow molding equipment. The annual output value of plastic machinery reaches 8 billion to 10 billion yuan.
From the market analysis of plastic products, combined with the full play of China's original production capacity of plastic machinery products, from 2001 to 2010, the annual average growth rate of China's domestic market capacity of plastic machinery products was about 6%. In 2000 and 2005, it was 8 billion yuan and 11 billion yuan respectively, and it is expected to reach 14.5 billion yuan in 2010. With the improvement of product quality and variety in China, the share of plastic machinery products in the domestic market will also increase, which is expected to be 70%, 75% and 80% respectively; The total industrial output value of plastic machinery products was 5.6 billion yuan, 8.25 billion yuan and 11.6 billion yuan respectively. With the increase of China's product exports, it is estimated that in 2010, the total industrial output value of China's plastic machinery products will reach 14 billion yuan, 2.33 times that of 2000. The annual average growth rate is about 9%, of which the growth rate from 2001 to 2005 is 10%, and the growth rate from 2006 to 2010 is 8%.
According to the analysis of the quantity of plastic machinery products, there were 55000 and 75000 in 2000 and 2005 respectively, and it is estimated that there will be 100000 in 2010. 2、 Export of China's plastic machinery manufacturing industry
In addition to meeting the domestic demand, the export volume of general plastic equipment in China is also increasing year by year. In the past three years, China's export of plastic machinery products has been at the fastest growth period in history. For a long time, the foreign exchange earned by exports has been around us $50 million. In 1998, it exceeded US $100 million for the first time. In 2001, it increased to US $238 million, an increase of 31.09% over 2000.
Relevant experts believe that in the future, China's plastic machinery products will be mainly exported by injection molding machines. From the analysis of export quantity, it is estimated that the proportions of various types of machines are: injection molding machine 60.4%, extruder 6.8%, hollow molding machine 11.7%, and other molding machines 21.1%. From the perspective of export foreign exchange earning of plastic machinery products, injection molding machines accounted for 74.1%, extruders accounted for 8.1%, hollow molding machines accounted for 8%, and other plastic machinery products accounted for 9.8%.
In 2002, the total export volume of the plastic machinery industry was higher than that in 2001. In 2002, Ningbo Haitian Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Shenda Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. maintained a strong export momentum, up 3.6% and 3.39% respectively over 2001.

The main sources of plastic molds exported are Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Fujian, accounting for 57%, 13.9%, 11% and 5.2% of the national abrasive exports respectively. The main export markets are Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, China, the United States and Singapore, followed by Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, India, Indonesia and Mexico.
Although the plastic mold production areas in China are all over the country, they are mainly concentrated in the southeast coastal provinces and cities, especially in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta. In terms of provinces and cities, Guangdong Province and Zhejiang Province are the most developed. The plastic molds produced in these two provinces account for about 2 / 3 of the total output of molds in China. Dongguan, Shenzhen and Shunde are the most developed places of plastic mold production in Guangdong Province; Ningbo and Taizhou are the most developed production places in Zhejiang Province.
